As the eldest sister of a loving and chaotic family, Rebecca R writes YA SFF stories heavily featuring found families, LGBTQIA+ characters, and the dawn that comes after the darkest night. When not writing or reading, you can find her hiking, geeking out with friends, (trying to) study languages, and existing near the closest body of water.

She graduated from Western University (Canada) with a degree in English Literature and East Asian Studies. After teaching English and learning Japanese for three years in Tokyo, she now teaches ESL on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, Chonnonton, and Attawandaron Nations in southwestern Ontario.

Travelling would be her hobby if she had more money (and Canada had functional and expansive public transportation).
